Easter Sunday

The temperature was 92 degrees in Beverley Hills. We went to Kate Mantilinis for a great breakast of buckwheat pancakes and eggs benedict. Then some friends came over for a bbq and we hung out around the pool for the rest of the day...tough.

Good Friday

we did a day trip to Santa Barbara, about a 2 hr drive up north on the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). Its a lovely drive with the pacific ocean on your left for most of the trip. We had a nice lunch in Brophy bros - not relaxing of course with both of the miss kleins mewling and moaning and whinging about anything and everything - so we necked our oysters on the half shell with our sauvignon blanc and skeddaled to the beach.

in and around santa monica

shopping in Target

how many brands and types of formula? Mummy has spent many a vacant hour staring at the various choices of anything.

Sophie has decided to crawl now, the carpet in the flat is very thick and kind to little knees. She loves going for the plugs particularly (Scarlett never did this) and anything tiny tiny goes in her mouth, like dimes or old bits of crisp. This is Sophie crawling for the pool.

St Paddy day in LA

we went to Griffith Observatory

and looked down on the whole of LA.

this is the swimming pool

we share it with the other residents, this was the saturday afternoon on the day after we arrived here.

farewell dinner at Marine Ices

The flight over was fine

Sophie and I were very good and we played quietly. I watched a bit of television and then went to sleep. Sophie slept too. Then about 9 hours into the flight I felt poorly and vomited on Mummy. A bit later I vomited on the nice Virgin Atlantic flight attendant. After that I felt much better and went to sleep again.

trans atlantic moves are the pits

we are almost there, one storage crew, two move crews and 96 boxes of STUFF later. now time to clear up the muck left behind and to make the house look inviting to the new people. Scarlett spent the day with Charlie and had a very nice time, Sophie was with her Mummy and Daddy and wailed for a lot of the day or tried to put tiny things in her mouth, like nails...

mummy got overtired and very emotional - bring on the restorative sunshine

not long now

our interview at the US Embassy went well and the kleins were issued visas...so movers are coming in 4 days time and then we are off to the land of palm trees and wheatgrass juice.
