It snowed in the night
views from the house
Our planned speedy 8 am departure was quite delayed by the snow. It was 19 (f) or -6 (c) and there was about 6 or 7 inches on our car and the doors had frozen shut. Poor LA SUV was not used to those conditions and took a little while to thaw out. It was a shame to miss the powdery skiing day.
We then had a skiddy couple of hours until we approached St George.

first time on skis...
The Inn at the Entrada
The garden of the casita.
We stayed at this amazing place situated below the red rock canyons of St George. The casita was very cosy with a fire and a small kitchenette. We made a bed for Scarlett out of the piles of pillows on the bed. And the temperature dropped so we unpacked our hats and gloves and boots and headed down to a local game house for some dinner. The Gun & Barrell was a definite cowboy type place and we needed and therefore had to try a few of their Gold Rush margaritas.
On the road to Utah
after a 7 hour drive we arrived in St George Utah
