it was another unusually hot weekend here with temperatures reaching 96 degrees where we are staying so we spent some time in the pool, cooling down (just how it was, not trying to sound smug) and working on our California tan. Although poor little Scarlett got stung by a bee on her head - it was floating in the pool and she was practising going under water. The bee left behind its stinger and everyone around the pool helped out with advice and drugs and oohs and aahs and tuts.
Then we finally returned the trailblazer to its rightful home and spent the evening in Manhattan beach, where we watched the sun go down into the ocean.
temperature set to go down to 60 degrees tomorrow, so its not all glorious holiday camp celebrations.
